Her robes were ragged, and she appeared to have tears in her eyes, but her chin was raised. Lucius prowled around the tiny wisp of a girl and lifted a strand of her hair with one leather clad hand. She was doing her best to avoid trembling under his touch, he could tell, and he smirked.
"Pity your father didn't know to keep his mouth shut, Miss Lovegood," he said quietly. "Perhaps you could have been courted by Draco. Perhaps you could have girlishly written his name with hearts around it."
He sneered as he dropped her hair. "Filth."
