It's time for my quarterly update.... Just kidding but it really seems like it doesn't it.
Baby Girl Mol aka the Mooch is due on the 19th, and it's all hurry up and wait at this point. I'm fine if uncomfortable (Lower parts are very achy and I only gained weight in the tummy so I'm very front heavy - my center of gravity is all messed up. You can't even tell I'm pregnant from the back). So far so good. VB is ready for her to show up, so he's scrambling to finish up a bunch of stuff at work - the blackberry is banned from my birth. :)
I'm trying to get motivated to write Thank You notes and Christmas cards. I stopped work on Friday, a week earlier than planned, because it was nuts to try to work this week with the baby due next Wed. We have the nursery pretty much together, we still have some of our crap in the room, but it's really pretty with lilac walls and white furniture. I'll post pictures. No changing table but that's what floors are for. Actually VB re-did the livingroom too. The whole place is pretty colorful these days. Fans of neutral need not apply. :)
Villagemom actually called me and volunteered her services for when VB has to go back to work. I have learned to accept her and da are excited in their own way and let it go.
Lola seems to have fully recovered from her illness. I don't know if I talked about it, but Lola got very, very sick after my shower. She lost three pounds and was throwing up for weeks. Several thousands of dollars of tests and treatments later, she probably had a gastroenteritis complicated by the fact that she has a esophageal hernia and atypical addisons, two conditions we were previously unaware of. She's currently moping because I won't give her lunch yet. She has to stay on this godawful low residue food, and is always a bit hungry due to the predisone. Yes, my puppy is on steroids, just what a terrier needs.
Tomorrow we have to go to a viewing. We had a friend tragically pass away unexpectedly last week. I'm still not processing it. He had a stroke. He was only in his late thirties and was the type of guy that had you in hysterics five minutes after you met him. Some of our friends who were closer to him are even more devastated and I can't imagine how his wife is coping. So send some postive energy out in the universe for her if you can.
Hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday Season!!!
I know I'm awful at responding to comments but I love to hear from you all.
Love,
