WTF, new Chevelle CD that I did not know about o_o
...Maybe it's the new bassist or just the new feel, but this album has a harsher sound on more of the songs than the last one. Still, Pete Loeffler's voice is, as usual, so smooth and harmonic that it creates a really interesting blend.
It seems like there's more growling than on previous albums (unfortunately, IMO, since I like his voice so much and would rather hear singing), although on the site they said they wanted to get away from that.... Eh, well, I do see that he's expanded his range and it doesn't sound forced at all, which is neat.
I think I still like This Type of Thinking better as an album, just because it had more variety, but hey, as long as they're still producing I'm happy.
