AX IS AWESOMESAUCE
I am so dead meat right now, sick from the airplane and the usual overexposure to people who haven't showered for four days and such. I have to go to work in like an hour or two, so quick shout-out post-slash-report thingie!
The cosplays:
--Zidane. Worn all four days at some point or another. Totally awesome for flirting with women. I don't think I'll EVER get enough of that costume.
--Clow!Syaoran. Walking spoiler! XD;; amecandy painted me with the tattoos both days I wore this. I hope to have better pictures of this costume later.
--Danny Fenton (Identity Crisis version). Worn with pikacello's incredible Danny Phantom and Kim's amazing Jazz. I got mistaken for Ash a lot. XD;
--Mytho. There was a lot of cheering when I took off my pants. XD;; what more can I say?
--Allen Walker. I actually don't have a single picture of this cosplay from this con yet - I may never get one. It's the same as always, except the hair is worse. XD;; It's too hot to wear in that weather.
The good:
1. AX cosplay is incredible. This was my first one and I hear that it's usually even better than this, but I was totally impressed. The trip was intense. The level of cosplay was just. Um. Yes. Such a variety of cosplay! There was no overabundance of Naruto or FMA cosplay, although I did see a lot of Melancholy Haruhi (although there were explainable circumstances around that).
2. AX photography is incredible. I think there's got to be something in the air. Or it's the palm trees. Yes, it's got to be the palm trees. lionboogy's pictures are always incredible, but they seem just that much crisper and cleaner in California. Every picture I've found there has been just. Yes. Love. I met AsianSchoolBoy for the first time (ZOMG!), and Jason and another guy whose name I already forgot (failure!) from i360, and saw lionboogy and EBK and Oscar and all the awesome photographers I love, and more. http://conpix.com has beautiful, crisp photos and managed to get great shots no matter what the light was. Also, his daughter was very cute. Happy birthday, Eebi-chan! =D
Also, I got one picture from fansview.com in which I don't look like a total idiot! It's GOT to be the palm trees.
3. Shoutouts. I know I'm gonna forget some of you. Forgive me, drop me a line and remind me that I'm an idiot.
mognetcentral - Liddo-chan is just unbelievable. I finally got to see her in person and I think I died fangirling her. She cosplayed Syaoran opposite rukawagf and me and and and OMG! She is just the most beautiful Syaoran there ever was.
pikacello - pika-chan and her sister are just the sweetest people ever. They totally put up with me borrowing their camera to steal pictures of Our Danny Phantom photoshoot calling them a million times to verify and stuff, even though they were really busy with masquerade stuff. They were such fun to see and I hope I get to see them again next year!
JJ - God, I fail so badly! Which username is yours? WAAAAAAAAH. ;____; She and her friend Jackie were so much fun to goof off with on Monday. Thank you for the shuttle ride back to the airport! Also, HARUHI DANCE HAHAHA. Where else will you see Tenipuri/FF9/Reborn people dancing the Haruhi dance? NOWHERE.
Kio and sister - they were the CUTEST SAKURA AND SYAORAN at the CLAMP photoshoot! Omg and they let me take pictures with them and be a total dork! I was so happy, and I hope I can get in contact with them and exchange pictures and stuff!
Veronica - the first Garnet I saw at con! She was lovely and we got a few pictures together, which was lovely. =D
D.Gray-man people - debitt and friends! I promise I will get back to the RP because i FAIL there too, uh. But dude, the tail end of the photoshoot was a blast. XD;;; And the random Miranda I saw when I was dressed as Zidane, who was totally in character - you are the awesomesauce.
Hot!Cloud - why didn't I get your information!? WAAAAAAAH. I need to meet a hot guy who lives in Maryland/Virginia. (Know anyone who fits that description?) We got some awesome pictures together that I know I will never ever find again.
SweetAdaline - who was a lovely Garnet at the Sunday Final Fantasy photoshoot. You were so cute and it was a blast to take pictures with you. XD;; The brief war with the FF7 crowd was hilarious. XD;;;
Kuja - thank you for the stage kiss. You rock! XD;; that was hilarious!

And! The random dude on the plane. I'm terrible with names even though you told me twice, I think, but I totally flew both there and back with you and for totally unrelated reasons. You were a lot of fun to talk with. I hope your dog is okay! =D
The Bad:
1. Random vaguely creepy old dudes. A couple of older guys I kept running into seriously weirded me out. Why do I attract creepy old guys!? I mean, really! I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE BOOBS AND WAS PRETENDING TO BE A GUY WHO FLIRTS WITH GIRLS. The fuck.
2. Random sunburn guy. Don't even ask. JJ, Jackie, Kira, Justina - that's why I suddenly felt the need to FLEE the artists alley.
3. Not having enough time. There just wasn't. 4 days is not nearly enough time to see and hang out with everyone at a con of that magnitude. Someday, when I win a billion dollars, I'll pay for everyone I know to go to sunny San Diego and spend a week there cosplaying and sipping MaiTais, watching anime and Supernatural late into the night at private viewings in a rented movie theatre.
The Sort of Bad:
1. My sunburn. Dude, I am totally tatooed with Syaoran's binding marks. My shoulders hurt and have blisters. I fail, but in an exciting way. I hope to have pictures of that soon. XD;;; a lot of people took pictures of my arms! ^^;;
