(no subject)
this weekend has been real long. two tests on saturday, including a bio exam i'm pretty sur i failed. my TA tried to give it me, and i told her i didn't want it until the weekend was over. I also had an exam today, and i am officially finished with my online courses. one of my teachers seems that he is really going to take out on my grade for my past few weeks of tardiness. which sucks, cause i really liked the class and was hoping we coudl be of good standing.
so now to the good stuff. last night was off the hook!!!
instead of going to the bar, word came our way of this house party. So after a nap, about 15 of us walked 2 miles to this house. the walk was nice, because the moon was full and had a giant ring around it. I was conversing with this girl meagen who was particurally wasted, cause i think she ggot bad news about her grand dad and needed to vent. We thought we were never going to get there, cause we walked forever. but we finaallly got there.
as we walk down the hill, you can see balls of light traveling in the air. it was two chillean women doing this crazy firedance. There was 100s of people surrounding this circle, and they were doing such beautiful designs in the air. There was a Dj bumping some awesome music-reggea, rap, 80s classics, jammin latin tunes. This seemed to be monteverdes underground international community of ticos, hippies and backpackers. Though ticos were there, there were people from australia, germany, chile, columbia, us, england and zambabwe. But i really didn't talk to to much people because i was dancing like crazy. Which also made me realize how mcuh hair i have. I am a very full body dancer, i am all over the place and now that i have long hair i've now become that big haired girl who dances like a madwoman. not sure if i should embrace this or be offended. anyways, got smoked up by some columbians, and the night was beautiful. I also saw wasted meagen attempt to do a handstand and fall flat on her back. Many girls i came with met some new boys that they now fancy, which is awesome for them. My roommate met this guy Yanne from columbia, and they went to this forest today called 'el bosque de los ninos. Finally by 2, and a little on the smashed side, i walked 2 miles home, over and down massive hills. I was so exausted, i easily could have fallen asleep on the ground. but i got back around 3, and completely keeled over. definatly has been my most favorite night yet.
it was awesome. especially considering i havent had much time to explore my town, because i've had two more classes i've been involved in then everyone else. but now that my weekends are open, there will be much exploration, and i will try to gt some more of this community.
