I've been getting my comics by mail order since the whole Jason/Laughing Ogre debacle last year and I loved the store I was using, www.heavyink.com. They offered a 20% discount on everything and shipping was only 99 cents. And then I read this article on Robot 6 (a blog hosted by Comic Book Resources) this afternoon:
Unacceptable: Online retailer draws reactions over Giffords comments
Yeah. That's the president of Heavy Ink saying that the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in which 6 innocent bystanders were killed was a good thing and that all other members of congress should be shot.
Fuck him. I immediately canceled my pull list and I'll never spend money in his store again. I deeply regret buying my comics from Heavy Ink for the past year. I would encourage everyone else to boycott the store as well.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I was away from home during most of winter break and I started back at school on the 3rd. I resigned from my job a couple of weeks ago and am now going to school full time. Pseudo-boyfriend John moved back to Arizona, so we are no longer dating. My step-sister Alice is in the hospital due to complications from lupus and it's looking like she won't be with us much longer. I'm worried about how my step-dad is handling it.
Despite all of this, I want to finish my WFGE claim by Friday so I won't forfeit the prompt. Wish me luck! I am such a procrastinator.
