My Roommate!
I just called my roommate, Julia, and we talked on the phone for an hour! She is really nice, and we seem to have a lot in common (she doesn't like to read, though, and has never read a Harry Potter book! *gasp* I may just have to introduce her!)!
I am really looking forward to meeting her. She lives about an hour from Philadelphia, and about 4 and a half hours from Pittsburgh. She is just as unenthused about living in an all girls dorm as I am, but since 8 of the 11 dorms on campus are all in the same quad area, we will probably get to meet everyone anyway!
Lots of fun orientation activities, including: scavenger hunt (with sweet-ass prizes), midnight ice cream party, aloha luau, movie night (Pride and Prejudice), nighttime jogging, campus tour (by flashlight, from 10-12 the night before classes begin), and all kinds of weird sports to try out! I am starting to get really excited now - it seems that I am actually going to GO to college after all. I think I was somewhat in denial before speaking to my roommate...
