The Vampire Diaries Season 2
I just finished watching the first three episodes of the second season of The Vampire Diaries and there will be some very spoilery thoughts below the cut:
Damon, you are not the big bad hurt woobie. You KILL PEOPLE. You're the big bad wolf and deserve all the cuts. YOU KILLED JEREMY! though he deserved killing anyway, the whiny little thing :P - better him than Anna who was awesome
However entertaining I do find Damon (not to talk about eyecandy), he still is a completely amoral vampire who will find it easier to snap and kill someone than to deal with his feelings. And those feelings are very much in the forefront with Katherine around....
I really do like Stefan. I admit I found him boring in the beginning of the series, but the relationship between him and Elena has really grown through a lot of hardship and they are still together.
And talking about Elena, I really do have to give big props to Nina Dobrev for playing both Elena and Katherine and making both of them so distinct! Good job!!!
Caroline, Caroline, Caroline... What to say. Her confusion and fear in the hospital felt so real. She didn't know what was going on and why she was feeling like she was. And later on, just didn't know how to deal with the change and how it would affect her relationships with other people.
Which brings me to Matt, who acted like an ass throughout the thing. I can understand being upset with your girlfriend avoiding you, but she was just in a life-threatening accident caused by being in a car driven by your best friend who had some kind of a fit, was near death, is still feeling weird (whatever the cause), and you're pissed about her not being 'normal.'
Werewolves: Hmm, interesting. Uncle Mason clearly is one and whatever that Mayor's boy's name is (blanking out), is clearly going to turn into one. We already know that a werewolf bite will kill a vampire, but how will this knowledge really work out with this series...
Alaric/Jenna = OTP
Bonnie continues to be AWESOME, she hates vampires, but is kind of willing to tolerate Stefan because of Elena. Damon, on the other hand... I just LOOOOVE how she puts him in his place whenever she comes across him :D
