I've just spent the entire evening reorganizing my CD/DVD shelves after I got a couple more shelves last weekend. I'm also planning on reorganizing my bookshelves, but I already came to the conclusion that I'll have to get a couple of extra shelves from storage and build more book cases, because there just isn't enough room for everything in my current set up. I'm starting to feel like I might have a bit too much stuff... :P
This also means some major reorganization of my flat, since the only place I can build those extra shelves is my bedroom and I'll have to rearrange some furniture so that I have space for the bookshelves.
I was thinking this would be my major project for the weekend, but at this rate it'll probably be my major project for the week.
In other stuff, I spent the last week traing for the new job, starting from Monday. Even though there is a lot to learn and it's all mostly completely new stuff to me, it doesn't feel at all hopeless.
On the first day, I felt quite intimidated since the group I'm training with had all already been there for a couple of weeks and it sounded like all of them had some kind of a technical or IT background (I've studied Literature, English, Women's Studies and library stuff, as a contrast :D). However, after a few days of muddling through stuff with them, it doesn't seem that scary after all.
The stuff I'm learning is actually pretty interesting, though very hush-hush so I can't talk about any details. I'll have to refresh my memories of how IRC works, since I haven't used it in years, but they seem to use it a lot in group communication.
