IRIS 11-12

Heh, I watched episodes 1-11 with Finnish subs, and now I'm suddenly faced with English subs and it feels completely weird :/. There aren't yet any more Finnsubs, which is why I'm switching to Engsubs. I'm marathoning the drama and I don't really care what language the subs are on, as long as I understand what's going and don't have to stop my IRIS marathon.

I find it interesting how both Hyun Jin and Sa Woo have crossed the line of no return, though in very different ways. Hyun Jin's quest for revenge led him to ally with people who he never would have consorted with before his life turned upside down, and Sa Woo is now paying for his earlier choices of choosing his career over friendship.

Neither is happy with the result, but they do both continue to follow the path they chose. And when Sa Woo complained about what he was supposed to do, his boss only said that he chose his path... And now he's covering his tracks as best he can, despite hating himself. But he's still doing it anyway.

Baek San is highly suspicious and seems like some kind of a criminal mastermind organizing all kinds of unrest. I guess it's to be expected of a member of IRIS.

A good example is that he knows about the possibility of a nuclear bomb, but is ordering all his investigators to concentrate on other issues.

Sending Sa Woo out as an assassin... Might not work, since he clearly is having some doubts, despite trying to get Hyun Jun killed asap. But I think the last is mostly due to jealousy, so he might not be that rational at times.

Meeting the "deep throat" clarifies a lot of stuff about the overall conspiracy, even though it was obvious long before this that Baek San wanted the nuclear weapon to explode in the middle of Seoul.

I like how this drama plays with the close-knit S-Korean team. Sometimes they have at least a superficial knowledge of what is going on and sometimes they don't.

Trying to find out the terrorist hideout brings again a lot of questions. The real location, found out after some work, was reported to Sa Woo, but when they were checking out various sites, it was competely disregarded. And then Seung Hee finds the info again through her own investigation and decides to go there. Cue Sa Woo angsting completely because of his own fault.

Random: That North Korean computer guy is really cute :). I like a guy with dimples.

GAAAHHHH!!! The ending of episode 12! *enter keymash*
