Still, it's not quite the same thing to read short comments by someone else as it is to

I had had time to work through my anger at the ending, and it did feel better when I actually saw it than when I read about it. And as I said in my post, I thought that Ken-zou's smile in the end was enough resolution for me.
Yes, it has a lot of special moments, and it will always be remembered for the way it made us obsess about it :).

Ken-zou's smile was sweet and we know they are happily together. :P
Yes, that was great time obsessing over it. It has plenty of touching and heartbreaking moments to make me happy. It will remain my favorite of Yamapi's dramas for now (until he comes out with more of course. hopefully soon!). :)

I think Kurosagi will still retain it's place as my favourite Yamapi drama, but ProDai did move to the second place and moved Byakkotai into the third place. BTW, if you haven't seen Byakkotai yet, you should! Lots of yummy Yamapi in it :)...

Yes, I would have preferred some more resolution to the story as well, but as I said to allbloomedout, I had had time to get used to the ending by the time I actually saw the episode. Ken did go through an awful lot throughout the series, so it ended with just that slight smile when he saw Rei running after him, it did feel (quite) a bit unsatisfactory.

Of course, it would have been nice to see Ken and Rei together even for a brief moment, but it is quite obvious that they are going to be together in the end. And there is always room for a special if they leave the ending slightly open :)...

Just based on Ken's nature and the oftentimes quiet and calm way the story unfolded, anything huge would have been too much (and a bit gawdy and offensive) at the end. Though Ken's smile was a huge thing in itself, I think, considering his unrelenting misery throughout.
