Liar Game 7

YAY!!!! I can post long entries again. Sorry to the f-list for the spammage, but I have a couple of longer posts that have been waiting until LJ was working again...

Oh, Nao, Nao! Don't fall into Fukunaga's trap yet again! Of course he's got some trick up his sleeve with the card game! Stooopid! Sigh, Nao really is so totally helpless in this game! And Fukunaga is really starting to annoy me with all the screaming and the histrionics :P.

LOL, I loved the way they showed Shinichi striding to the rescue just as everything seemed the most hopeless :).

Ok, Nao has finally learned to lie, but I liked the story about other Liar Games across the country. Getting just 10 votes (which seems such a small number individuall) from each of the other players was a very nice strategy.

I LOVED the moment when they vote counter lady said that you are allowed to bring "personal belongings" to the game, and that "Mr. Akiyama falls under Miss Kanzaki's "personal belongings". ROTFLOL!!!

I think someone on the d-addicts boards made a very good observation that the game isn't necessarily so much about the money, it's about how it manages to corrupt even the nicest persons. The greediness and the backstabbing that is a huge part of the game are constantly eroding even Nao's naivete and her belief in the basic niceness of other people, and now she has learned to lie as well.

Even though she did it under Akiyama's advice, she was the one who went around to all the other players and told those lies, because she knew everything would be hopeless if she didn't do it. I think the story worked so well because everybody knew how "nice" she is, and nobody could believe that she could ever tell a lie. I wonder how things will proceed in the future.

jdrama, liar game, doramas
