Just as I planned, I watched the Proposal Daisakusen episode 6 raws tonight. Now I'm finally going to be caught up on the drama after having a few weeks of having no time to watch it properly :).
I got the OST recently, and I really like it as well. Very nice 'easy listening' instrumentals in it :).
I've also heard a rumour that the Liar Game OST is going to be released any day now! Can't wait to get it, since I really like the music in that series!
BTW, has everybody already seen the news that the cutie playing Mikio is going to be playing his first lead role opposite Inoue Mao in her new drama "First Kiss" that is going to start in July in the same timeslot as ProDai? Yet another Japanese drama that I can't wait to see! I was just reminded of this, because the episode starts very Mikio-centric :D. B.O.N. FunSubs have already announced that they are going to be doing both hard- & softsubs for it.
I understand this episode centres around Rei's "hatachi", 20th birthday, which is apparently a big deal with Japanese women. Hmm, why is Rei giving Ken 'die now' looks just at the thought of that birthday?
Ok, Mikio and his girlfriend seem to be a very on-off relationship, since first they are fighting, then they are making up, and probably later on they will be fighting again. Their friends can only look on and try to figure out which stage they are going through at that moment.
Making up
Hee! We have a brief appearance by the marathon runner guy again! I've missed him :).
Wow! Socrates really looks, um, 'colourful' at this stage :D... I wonder what he's saying? Probably something humorous with that look :).
ARGH! This episode really suffers from not understanding what they are saying. I have no clue what is going on most of the time :P. I seems to be something to do with Rei's birthday, but what?!
LoveSong, release those subs fast, please!!!
Heh, it seems this is yet another series that works with my friend's theory that watching tv entertaiment of our time, people in the future will become convinced that *everybody* used a Mac in our time *g*... I noticed it in the previous episode already, but this time it was even clearer, since they had an iMac (of the same kind I have) in the background :).
It seems Ken is penniless, but is determined to do something nice for Rei's birthday, so he is begging Mikio for help.
How worrisome! Tada popping into Rei's architecture study always seems to inspire her, whenever she's having a blank moment. I know they will need to establish why Rei was getting married to Tada in the first place, but that doesn't say that I have to like it that they are getting close and feeling compatible, now does it :P.
I want Ken to get the girl so very much!!! He's trying so hard to change what used to be and is doing his best to fight for his love, that you can't help being moved by it. He probably will win in the end, but the intervening moment are probably going to be very torturous :P.
Aww, it seems that Ken is feeling quite ill, but is still determined to work until he collapses so that he can't get a gift for Rei. And then Mikio calls Rei about something. Probably to tell about Ken's illness.
And then there is also something between Eri and Tsuru and one of Eri's past boyfriends. Eri and Tsu really are my secondary OTP in this series! He's trying so hard, but all she ever sees is a friend who is good for comic relief :(. But she is grateful to him for cheering her up after meeting the old boyfriend.
Oh no! I just know they are going to miss each other! She is going to him, because he is ill, and I think he is going to be determined to go to her, even though he is ill. And their paths will never cross :P. It's such a drama convention! Sigh!
Flu-y Ken-zou waiting at her workplace and begging on his knees really got to me *sniff*. He is trying his best, but this time, it's a matter of a misunderstanding and of circumstances that he never gets to Rei in time. *BAWL* And it seems that Rei is giving up on Ken because of this :(.
It's so sad to see Ken waiting and waiting and waiting, while at the same time Rei is thinking that he doesn't care for her *bawl*
Then Ken finally gets home and sees Rei's message and rushes to her, but he's just a few seconds too late, because Tada is there and Rei has decided to celebrate her birthday with him instead. There was nothing Ren could have done to mend matters, because he just didn't get to her in time.
ARGH! I feel so depressed now, and I've been crying so hard for at least the last 15 minutes of this episode that my eyes and nose are all sore :P. Gah, I suspect it's going to be even worse when I watch the subtitled version :P.
Now I feel depressed :(.
ETA: Some relief from the depression brought on by this episode, i.e. Yamapi caps from the ep. 7 previews which I took for
allbloomedout, and have him looking veeerrrry nice in a sleeveless white tank top...
