I just watched the first episode of Meteor Garden and it was really fun to see Vic Chou and Barbie Hsu in completely different roles from the ones they played in Mars. The Japanese version of Meteor Garden, Hana Yori Dango, is really good too. There's also an anime and manga under that name.

Yes, I knew there were several different versions of it, but since I was already familiar with some of the Taiwanese stars (the girl playing Shan-Tsai was also in Mars, as was they guy playing Lei, the silent, gently guy), so I decided to try that one first.

The hair gets better :P

I find it amusing that the actors became a band and named themselves F4 after the school nickname their characters had in the dorama.

Yes, it is very amusing. I guess it was quite easy to ride on the success of the dorama by using the same name for their group as the one they had in it :).

My Vic Chou love continues (the first ep seemed to be made for fans of his ;-)), Jerry Yan hasn't won me over yet, but it's early days yet.

Yeah, Jerry Yan grew on me, but that character always takes a while to grow on me though, in every incarnation of the story.

But Lei. *sigh* I want a friend like that.
