Meteor Garden & ABCDEF4
I just watched the first episode of Meteor Garden and it was really fun to see Vic Chou and Barbie Hsu in completely different roles from the ones they played in Mars. I'm not completely hooked (at least not yet), but it looked fun enough. Agree that Jerry Yan's hair is awful in the first ep :).
Meteor Garden is a Taiwanese dorama set in a school where most students come from very wealthy families. The school is ruled by four guys, called the F4 (they are also a Taiwanese boy band), and everybody is constantly cowed by them. They can do whatever they want, until one day Shan-Tsai, a girl from a poor family stands up against them. They start bullying her, but her resistance also wins their respect.
I also checked the first disc of the ABCDEF4 documentary and ended up mostly fast forwarding through it. Since I don't understand Chinese, it was excruciatingly boring watching the guys on a bowling alley with some fans and then some interviews done in the back of cars while they were going on tour. I'll probably glance through the other discs as well (4 DVDs in all), but if someone on the f-list is interested, I'd be willing to give it to anyone who wants it.
