So I almost had a heart attack tonight. The Sabres played the Rangers in Buffalo, game 5 of the semifinals. Great, fine, good. The Sabres just couldn't score to save their lives. For 56 minutes the score was 0-0, until the Rangers scored. Great.
Time ticks by, and suddenly its 16.7 seconds left in the game; the faceoff is in the Rangers end. Sabres win the faceoff, Zubrus knocks down two guys, Drury swings the puck to Connolly who shoots, the goalie saves. Drury gets the rebound, puck goes in the net. 7.7 seconds left. Game tied.
4:37 into overtime, Maxim Afinogenov scores to give the Sabres the much-needed 2-1 win and a 3-2 series lead. Have they finally gotten it back? I hope so, otherwise I may break things.
