:/ This special category thing is annoying. I picked # and my 1st fav BECAUSE it was most creative and appealing. So now I'm stuck choosing not which of the icons are most creative, but which of the two remaining is most creative.
I'm sorry that voting is such an annoyance to you, but the reason we want everyone to vote for all different icons is to give a 4th person a chance to place. Everyone has to make the same choice as you to either give an icon 1st place or the special category. Is it so terrible to give another icon a special category vote? Besides that, even with voting for 4 different icons double-placement still happens quite a bit, so we won't be changing this rule any time soon.
I'm being a total brat now, but isn't that what mod's choice is for? It also makes the 4th placement less of an "oh cool. I won the special" and more of an "oh wow, the MOD liked my icon!" and it makes things less hard for voters.
Well, I've never ever received any kind of complaint about the special category being hard to vote for at all. Again, why is it so terrible to give an icon you don't like as much to get the special? We don't have a mod's choice here because I don't want to be the one choosing an icon. I want it to be voted on. If it's seriously that difficult for you to vote, then I will ask you to refrain instead of causing drama.
