My thoughts about this book... so far my favorite among all that I've read. This is a story about the friendship of two children, Amir, the son of a rich and well-respected man in Kabul and Hassan the kind-hearted son of Ali, the servant of Amir's family. I've learned a lot from reading this book and made me appreciate more of the blessings i've received. It talks about friendship, loyalty, betrayal, love, effects of war, forgiveness, redemption, humility, hope and many more. I realized that although we are of different race, culture and religion when it comes to the way of life and how we deal with other people it's pretty much the same and if we set aside our own prejudice i think that we can all live in harmony. i was truly amazed of Hassan's character because i doubt if i can ever meet a person like him in this lifetime and also i know that i can never be that kind of person. this story definitely touched my heart and made me realize how lucky i am to be alive and well!
