A quiet, dark train overnight from Miramichi to Montreal - probably some champagne or at least a box of wine, two exhausted but incredibly happy young people who get to close the door on the world and just enjoy the journey, being with each other. The end of one crazy year. The festive mood of New Year's Eve on the train, a traveling party.

I've definitely travelled in THIS direction on NYE, and it was two hours late getting to Hfx and almost totally fucked up my plans, but never in the opposite, westward way. But it was PACKED.
