You know how in elementary school patriotism is practically shoved down your throat? Pledges, sing-a-longs to "Proud to be an American"? I fucking get it now. I mean, I still live in the same country as people who voted yes on amendment 2, so it's not all sunshine and smiles, but I care.
And, yes, it might be because I just watched his very well done speech and have been listening to "Chariots of Fire" on repeat since (plus, I've been on a constant sugar high with all the leftover Halloween candy), but yes. YES.
