For the past several years on more than a few occasions I’ve tried to hook my friends up with girls they either told me they liked or girls I thought would be good matches for them. I can attest to everything Dennis has just said. Now, I've never been the male on the receiving end, but I sure as hell witnessed the process. Every word you wrote, Dennis, I just started getting mental video clips of the past...sigh...
The thing about this method that makes it worth using again and again is that there are certain unknown variables to each set up, and it could possibly work sometime. It's like a chemist who mixes to chemicals together. Of course the chemist predicts and outcome based on logic, but he just will not know until he actually mixes the chemicals.
I think the two biggest catalysts that the guy you put in this situation has to employ are confidnece and conversation. Even if a girl is coming to a party or social gathering thinking of a different guy, it isn't too impossibly hard to win her charms over. The first key factor is the guy she was interested in has to show almost total disinterest. The second factor is the guy who wants the affections of the girl must capitalize on the social situation. Make her feel special, show he likes her, and through the course of the conversation find things out about her and then use that information to intrique her into thinking about him. Without confidnece or conversational skills, the guy will most likely lose the girls attention thus losing the whole point of the grand engineered event. If you want something....damn it....go for it. Go for it until you realize that your just running on treadmill going no where.
Also, fuck good guys. Fucking losers, but they do have there place in the world. In one set of categories I have these three guys. Men, good guys and bad guys. Men are real guys who live in reality and are just...well...themselves. Good guys and bad guys are just ignorant and scared an make shit up in there heads to get by day to day. Normally these guys attract women of the same nature. In reality, men are the best catch for any girl. But, since we all live in our own perception of the world, girls will tend to think they have a man when really they just have a boy toy or a guy with a boosted ego. Not a real man.
