New design for a paper cup
A new design for a paper cup was created, which allows to reduce the use of a cardboard at its manufacture up to 10%, while retaining the same capacity.
When a paper cup is disposed of, it's impact onto the enviroment will be lessened by the same 10%.
The geometry of a disposable cup was simulated on a computer and were tested in practice.

An alternative to a plastic lid for a disposable cup
With all its merits, a cardboard cup is not convenient when moving beverages over long distances. Adding a plastic lid to it partially solves this problem, but creates a new one - the plastic lid becomes an additional pollutant of the environment.
