Spent last night with Jackson in the ER. Seems he was trying to jump a fence while on a walk with GF, and misjudged. He thought he just tore his pants, until he looked up at his hand still on the fence post - the fleur de lis stake was STICKING THROUGH IT!! He will be, eventually. However, I just got home, and the poor kid's not feeling good at all. This morning, he felt fine, and the consensus was that I was overprotective, keeping him home. I knew it would get gnarly, though. He's not going anywhere tomorrow, either.

The funny thing is, today my family and colleagues kept asking me the same question: "Why did he jump the fence?" All these people either live with Jack or teach high school for a living, and they had to ask? To get to the other side, of course!

Oh no. Yeah, keep him in. Those things can open up again easily if you're not careful.

As for the jumping, I know better than to ask. C has a groin strain from jumping around. Boys just do that.
