Taking Flight

May 03, 2006 03:58

We'll be taking off in a few minutes.

Today has been so wonderful. Mortimer looked so handsome in his suit. Such a proper British gentleman. (Why do British men dress so much better? It isn't fair.) And Sasha was...there aren't even words to describe her beauty. They're both so elegant. I probably looked like a silly girl in a princess dress, but I don't care. I'm only getting married the once.

The pilot is so sweet. He brought us flowers, and spent a lot of time telling me about flying and planes while we were waiting to get through security.

The reception went really well. Everyone seems to have had a good time, and nobody got more drunk than they like to. Everything was so pretty. And all the flowers...oh, it was so nice. I hope the party we have for the Nexus when we get home turns out as well.

I've never been on an airplane before. It's so dark out. We'll be able to watch the stars as we take off, and the sunrise as we fly...

Bermuda shall be fun. All the photos are amazing, and I can't wait to see it. The sand is pink. Pink. Pink beaches and turquoise waters and blue skies and green plants. There's so much I want to do! I wish we could stay longer. I'll get to have my own scooter. I've never driven anything before. I hope it's not hard to do.

The Beltane celebrations went well. I think it's a good thing, to celebrate with my cousins, and we shall continue to as long as we're welcome in their caern. I know there was some grumbling about it, but it's better for everyone this way in the long run, and everyone got to have their own traditions at some point. I must remember to write Anne and the others to tell them how well this went. I think it would be worthwhile for the others to do this as well. What better way to bind us together? We are, after all, family.

I think Mortimer and Sasha may be asleep. I should let them rest. I'll try to be quiet...I know it's probably nothing particularly exciting for them. They've both traveled so much, seen so many things...

We're going to go swimming with dolphins. It'll be so fun! I hope they don't mind if I drag them to a perfumery...or at least don't mind if I go alone. I really want to see it.

Little Evan seems to be a godling. I wonder how that happened? I haven't seen any signs of it in grown-up Evan.

I wonder what Richard'll end up naming his cat?

I'm so happy.
