Perhaps she was, and perhaps she was not. What was certain was that she had gained something of a companion; a black bird, a raven or a crow, hopped and fluttered along the wall-tops to keep pace with her as she went.

It takes Ali a bit longer than usual to notice, but notice she does. Upon taking note, she rubs an earlobe absently and frowns a bit to find it bare. Well, it is the Labyrinth, the bird probably talks anyway.

"Hello there," she greets her companion, smiling up at the feathery fellow (or lady--she can't tell which). "And to what do I owe the pleasure?"

The bird gives a hoarse caw--not words, just a caw--and flutters down to a nearer perch. It struts and preens, black feathers gleaming, as are the black eyes that look over her jewelery.
