I met an adorable kitten named
Pika Bu. Some of her
siblings needed homes, so our herd of cats has grown.
My past experience with alts, and learning to not try and treat them as all the same person, seems to
have been helpful advice. So that's good.
And I maybe helped someone to
not feel useless.
Merlin has proven to be
an irrational worrier as well as something of a
misogynist. And he said that last in front of Samus. Never a good idea.
There was a new
shapeshifter,
Sky, around. Pity he had to look so familiar. It probably would have spared us all.
Jubilee came back!
And then she started
getting kidnapped. And then she started
acting weird. I had my suspicions, as did
Sky. Fortunately, we seem to have convinced the whatever-they-weres to leave her alone.
Now she's got a new job that she likes, and time to
think about traveling. This, I think, will be good for her. Soon, with any sort of good luck, she won't be
crying randomly anymore.
Her question about interesting places was interestingly-timed, because I mentioned Atlantis, and not long after
Namor returned. It's been... it's good to see him again. The children were thrilled.
Another day. Another
mutant. Another tale of heartache and woe. Another reason to hit Stan Lee with a stick.
I don't remember anyone losing a
boat in the Nexus before. Poor kid's not much good with
girls either.
Robert got himself hurt. I wish he wouldn't.
And Sel's had troubles. I think she just shouldn't be a
wedding singer anymore, but she claims to enjoy it.
Delirium has decided to grace the Nexus with
her presence. Dream was kind enough to introduce us, but I think he's decided we shouldn't be allowed to play together. Which might be good, considering
the misunderstandings.
Poor Michael,
falling from the sky into the Nexus because his parasailing harness broke. And if he thinks I believe that...
Some version of
the Corinthian came to visit. Predictably, he asked about
nightmares; but he shows some signs of
improvement. But he
is still what he
is.
Newcomer
Bod, on the other hand, is very kind, and very innocent. I, of course, immediately decided I need to protect
him. At least he doesn't seem to mind.
Jesus has
promised to teach me Aramaic. And, if I'm a very good girl, he might tell me some stories.
And now, there's a
drow. I hope he's happier.
The war continues apace, and usually at a distance. The usual troubles continue on the home front, but there's nothing I can do to dissuade them that I'm willing to do. So long as it remains mostly talk, I'll let them be; the moment things erupt into violence again, there will be problems.
And it'd be nice if Henry drank less and worked more. He'd be so good, if he let himself.
