Christmas Party Plotting

Right, Next weekend. December 7. I am having friends over for a christmas lunch... maybe extending to dinner... there will be certain friends used to coming over and talking all day, there will no doubt be others who probably aren't and or who will have other reasons for leaving sometime before then.

I have talked to eneit about possible menu items, which is probably the best idea I've had all week regarding this. Seeing as other than a date and a venue I have no further details in mind. The Black Forest cupcakes definitely are something I want on the menu!!

As well as this I've got to organise (or rather I have begun organising and now will have to complete organising) 2 dinner's for Alex's birthday on the 13th. Well one dinner will be the 12th. At least this should be made slightly easier by the fact that we are going out for both dinners...

I am vaguely considering a cake, but don't want to be too ambitious. It's just unfortunate that I've discovered a cake shop in Rouse Hill that makes wedding cakes and cakes that look like they belong to the women's weekly cake book. (You know... the WW cake book that nearly every child from Australia during the 1980s (and probably since) had at least a few birthday cakes made from.) That and my brain has been plotting for some baking for a while now.

But as well as all this I need to clean, not just tidy, our house. The problem is tidying I can do. Cleaning I tend to be exhausted by before I even start.

Still, things to do before next sunday:
- Prepare meal plan, as well as whatever actual parts of the meal, for sunday
- Get dusting done (upstairs and downstairs)
- Get all washing done
- Get all ironing done
- Tidy study (and then dust it)
- Clean kitchen
- Clean bathrooms and toliets... making sure I'm stocked up on those kinds of essentials too
- Finish making and start mailing Christmas cards (esp. international ones)
- Mail English cousins' christmas presents
- Buy more family presents

It could be fun... I've got training all day monday... then on tuesday I'm going to a place called Leeton - which is about an hours drive from Griffith. Going for just one day... plane leaves sydney at 7:50am... and I get back at 6:00pm. So, that's not going to be a lot of fun.

But I will go, shut up now. And just maybe I will get some of this list of things done. Wish me luck!
