I've been lax about updating, though I haven't read much in the last couple months.
Seraphina
by Rachel Hartman
This is the story of a woman, Seraphina, who is the daughter of a human and a dragon. How it's kept hidden and then comes to light. It was a good read and kept me engrossed in the story until I was done.
The characterization of the dragons and humans was very well done with an interesting idea of how they are different.
It also ends sort of openly as if the author wants to leave room for more stories.
Kingkiller Chronicles
1. The Name of the Wind
2. The Wise Man's Fear
by Patrick Rothfuss
An excellent series about a man, Kvothe and his journey to learn and what happens.
He tells his story over three days to the Chronicler. Each book is one day of him telling the story.
As of yet, book three has not been published. These are very big books - 700-1000 pages each - and I couldn't stop reading them.
