I'm honestly glad I took a break and came back to it, although part of me wishes I'd waited a bit longer.
And yeah, I agree - Dean being bi is something that I've been seeing since before Cas was even on the show. I just never expected them to do anything with it. Then that changed, and it's a WEIRD FEELING.
I want a bisexual main character where their sexuality is not the first thing we learn about the character, nor is it the defining aspect of the character, nor does it need to be blatantly demonstrated by the character kissing a guy and then a girl 5 seconds apart from each other (I'm looking at you, Jack Harkness). A person's sexuality isn't the most important, most defining thing about them, and it's about time television showed that.
So yeah, also in the "want representation" camp. Unlike a ton of fans, though, I just don't see anything in the show that has been them saying "NOT GONNA HAPPEN." Until I see them do that (or until the show ends without them doing it), I'm gonna stay positive for a little while longer. Mainly because it's about time for it in our society and it may as well as them... if that makes sense. (Also, they have a pretty awesome writing team right now. Still not perfect, but Robbie Thompson is amazing.)
