Watch out for our younger fans, mmkay?

Normally I would just ignore these stories because people tend to put themselves in these situations, but the fact that these specific two stories appeared on my flist within hours of each other really, really creeps me out. I don't think the two situations are related, but it's still extremely freaking scary.

So did that girl's mum give that guy a good kick to the crotch or what? Because that's what I would have done! And then I would have dragged my daughter home and told her to stop being such a silly, gullible bitch.

That mother might be awesome for agreeing to it in the first place, but I hope she warned her daughter that the guy probably wasn't Jensen.

*shivers* GAWD, I'm never having children and that's one of the reasons why. I don't want to have to worry about them.

I've just sat back and looked at my comment and realised I'm blaming the girl, not the guy. WTF is wrong with the world when it's possible to blame both parties in a situation like this? I just took it for granted that the guy would be a horrible creeper - that's just life, isn't it? But the girl's actions annoyed me more than his.

Jeez. *takes out brain, shakes it and puts it back in again*

I'm kinda in that same position, because I can't help but blame the girl even though I know absolutely nothing about her. D: What happened to turn me into such a jerk face?

I think it's a knee-jerk reaction to stupidity, actually. Any kid worth their salt these days know that the internet can be dangerous. Therefore, that girl was STUPID. Thank goodness her mum wasn't.

And now I'm mildly curious as to how that conversation between daughter and mother even went...
Kid: "Mama, I'm going to meet Jensen Ackles for a DATE, OMG."
Mama: O_O

Ha ha. If it was my mum she would've replied, "Yeah, like you could ever get a guy that handsome."

My mum's a bitch, by the way.

I don't know about awesome. Even at my advanced age, my mom would have put her foot down and told me not to be an idiot, that it obviously was some internet pervert, and that there was no way in hell I was going because I'd end up on the news the next morning after being raped and murdered. If I were young like this girl appears to be? I would have been locked in my room before she let me go meet a supposed celebrity I set up a date with on the internet, and my computer would be a burning scrap heap. Being dumb would lose internet privileges, I'm sure (if there had been internet back in the day).

On the other hand, my mother considers everyone on the computer an internet pervert, so...I'm not sure how much that helps.

"Awesome" in a very, very special way - maybe for humoring her kid? (I dunno. This is another reason why I shouldn't have kids.)

My parents wouldn't have let me meet any stranger, celebrity or not; hell, I was barely allowed to go down the street by myself, and I grew up in a pretty peaceful town.
