“My warranty ran out at 40.”
I think I missed a lot of the aging process because I was working out - and fairly new to really working out. I was in pain all the time, facing weird twinges and tightness, but there has always been a gym reason why - plus a gym solution. Sadly some other issues, plus well...hair...have shown I’m getting older. Fast. I’ve always looked younger than I am, and still get the surprise factor on my age today, but things have changed. I had a good run but I think it’s time to do that thing people do where you die for 40-60 years. I can’t drink as much as the hangovers are hell, fat sticks to me, cartilage and collagen are leaving at a rapid rate, my skin hangs loose in more places...I’m dying. Worse, it hurts. I’m just barely facing it now, and the steps are unpredictable, but it’s impossible to ignore.

I just walked in on my contractor arguing about his permits with the inspector in the basement, who was saying "but they're old..."
I watched the news last night, this morning, and around lunch. Channel 4 news, to be specific, because although my friends wisely packed my remotes and wires into one convenient box, I haven't moved that box yet. So channel 4 at medium volume is what I get.
I have the windows open front and back and am loving the cross-breeze, though finding there are more smokers here or not-on-the-4th floor than I'm used to. Also I know when the dog next door makes a poo. Everything has pluses and minuses. Standing on the balcony eating a lik-m-aid candy I'm loving the pluses quite a bit.
