I'm using the Macbook Pro and there's no MSN Messenger so I'm using Meebo instead. This is my first time using Meebo and it is useful after all, hah.
Just posted the entry that I wanted to post last Thursday but didn't quite have the time to. It's short and unfinished but I am a little lazy to add anything to it.
So...my holidays so far have been boring. Take a peek in my daily life and you'll see that I spend most of my time 1) going for tuition, 2) watching TV, 3) reading books, 4) wasting time in OU or 5) doing copious amounts of homework. I just can't wait for this coming Friday. Hong Kong, zomg, here I come. Disneyland, akkks. :D I want to go on Space Mountain!
I just finished reading Looking for Alaska and The End.
Looking for Alaska = the best book I've read all year long.
It's beautiful. It really does capture how teenagers do actually think. Yes, it may be a little graphic and may not appeal to everyone but when you think about it, it does stay true to how teenagers now really are. And it makes you crave for rebellion a little. Oh, and it's every bit inspiring. I didn't want it to end. I loved how last words by famous people were quoted by Pudge throughout the whole novel.
I'm eager to read Stephen King's The Shining next but my Dad thinks that I shouldn't because it 'might be a little disturbing'. I am not so sure of what I should think particularly because I have never read a book in my 16 year-old life that I have found particularly disturbing or scary yet(unless you count the time when I received a free romance novel which turned out to be R-rated when I was 12. That was very enlightening...). I've read Carrie by Stephen King before and I didn't find that scary. Instead, I thought that it was sad. I also need to get more classics Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis or maybe even Bram Stoker's Dracula. Anything, really. I wish there are some decent libraries nearby or that I'm married to a hot bookshop owner or something(kidding).
Oh, and I had one of the best Saturdays that I've ever had last Saturday. :) Cousins are love
