Kyomoto Taiga Talks About His Passionate Conan Love!
Kyomoto Taiga, who has a class 1 of Conan's official certification, appears on this magazine only for the sake of talking about his favorite 「 Detective Conan」! With matching Teitan jersey with Shinichi, the editor-in-charge is also surprised over his Conan love, ample amount of stories are also told!
ーFirst, for those who still have not read 「Conan」, can you please tell in a brief statement your recommended point from 「Detective Conan」?
I would say "It is packed with all of the elements" ! In 「Conan」, there is romantic comedy, mystery, and there is also the warmness and fluffiness of a family...the elements that you can feel in other manga are all packed in this manga. Recently, the couples [in the manga] have increased and the development of love relationships of the couples are something to look forward to, and the mystery part too is verified with facts by Aoyama-sensei, since it is a full-scale trick, so I strongly recommend this manga. Since I think those people who have only watched the films will no doubt find the original work interesting if they read this [interview], so I want for everyone to read the manga.
ーThe element "romantic comedy" is essential, right?! By the way, who is the favorite couple of Kyomoto-san?
I currently like (Haibara) Ai-chan, but Kazuha is my favorite from the start. So, I got thrilled when Heiji and Kazuha came out as a couple. Shinichi and Ran clings together, and now Heiji is eagerly doing his best so I am rooting for him (LOL).
ーIn that case, the scene where Koumoto Hyouga appeared is pretty nice, isn't it?
Yes, you are right! When Kazuha-chan called, "Hyouga-kun" by his first name, I was like, "yabai!" (LOL). It is not like she called "Taiga-kun" but even if she called "Hyouga-kun," it is enough to make me excited (LOL). Since she is my favorite character until now, I was simply happy.
ーIn the volume where「Koumoto Hyouga」, how did you learn about it?
I currently read 「Sunday」in electronic book, when I bought the latest issued when it turned 12 midnight, when I saw "Koumoto Hyouga of Naniwa Kids" on it, and I literally felt there is a reference of me from that...(LOL)...Moreover, the visual too is just like my hair, outline, and clothes from my promotion photo for YouTube campaign! While I was thinking, "Is it me?", it was written he is from "Naniwa Kids" so I was not sure. But, fans made me excited, since I'm not the only one who thought, "Isn't this Kyomoto Taiga?" so I thought there a possibility [that that might be really me] (LOL). And then I have the privilege to write about it in the blog and the like, but, by no means I did expect that I will get a reply from Aoyama-sensei! Until now, that portrait of Ai-chan is my wallpaper!
ーAt the time when you learned that Koumoto Hyouga is you, frankly, what did you feel?
To have a character based on me appear in the manga is one of my dreams since long time ago, since that dream unexpectedly came, I was very deeply moved. The story arc where Koumoto Hyouga appeared is concluded in the series but since Koumoto Hyouga continues to live in Conan's world, I hope that someday he will appear again (LOL). I hope he will have a future where he will be thoroughly involved in a case...
ーYou like Ai-chan and Kazuha, but who is your favorite among the male characters?
Since I also love 「Magic Kaito」and read it, so I like Kid. Therefore, I like both Kid and Heiji. The appearance of Kid that I like is in 「Bell Tree Express」 (Recorded in 3 episodes). I did not think he disguised in such a way! The「Bell Tree Express」itself too, the main characters are majorly gathered, it is an episode that I got hyped up. My favorite episode with Heiji is 「Dugong's Arrow」(Recorded in 4 episodes)! As a man, I thought that scene he said, "I am going to kill you..." with love is cool! Recently, Heiji conveyed his feelings for Kazuha, though he did it in a clumsy way, but I like that part of him too.
ーIf you will appear in the manga and anime (movie) of 「Detective Conan」, what kind of role do you want?
The more I like it, the more impudent I am at entering that world...with a sense of making use of what I can do, I want a character who is both an idol and a detective. Because I like the composition of the high school detectives Shinichi, Heiji, Hakuba, even if for a limited time, I want to be a member of that too. And then, since my voice sounds young...I think I can also join the young boys detective club, right? (LOL). Like a transfer student of Teitan Elementary School, I will also join the young boys detective club. I have a strange confidence that I can play an elementary student if I raise my voice in a higher key when I speak. But...after all, I want to meet Ai-chan too. Just to be told, "idiot" and treated coldly is fine with...(LOL).
ーIf you have any anticipation on the future stories, please tell us.
Heiji and Kazuha become a couple, I want to see them have a double date with Shinichi and Ran. Are they going to be awkward, or are they going to be lovey-dovey? I am curious about the atmosphere when these 4 people who become officially couples gather together. I think Heiji and Kazuha going on a date will be cute. Also, I want to see more completely dark thrilling stories! Since the true character of RUM is also known, I am really looking forward to the future stories.

This time, I am here as a representative of Conan fans, it is presumptuous...but from now on too, I hope I can hype up Conan while I convey my "Conan love" in my own way!「The Scarlet Bullet」is also starting soon!
