School started yesterday. After the General Assembly, the Seniors (us!) were gathered in the mini theatre. Our CA, Ms. Olalde, welcomed us and gave her expectations. Afterwards, lo and behold... our guidance counselor, Ms. Jusay, gives us reminders regarding UPCAT. First day! Oh well. It was stiflingly warm yesterday. I know the school can afford to the classrooms air conditioned. Guess what we got instead... A Zen Garden! Yes, landscaped and everything and complete with a bamboo fountain. It's on the seniors' side of the caf too.
Today, our new teachers were introduced to us. I'm looking forward to my Philosophy (Sir Benny!), Physics (Sir Mitra!), Trigonometry/Calculus (Sir Mitra!) and English classes (Ms. Manahan). I just hope I don't take that back in a few days. Haha. We also had the High School Orientation. Mostly tips and reminders per batch. They never worked for me anyway or I just never followed them. Aika, Gaddi, Eizel and I just talked and looked at pictures.
I missed school food so I've been bingeing these past few days. Arroz Caldo, Spanish Bread, Tapsilog and Cheese Log (now available in Burger, Pesto and Pepperoni flavors!). I have yet to rekindle my obsession with the Bread of Life and Value Meal (mysterious burger, potato wedges and iced tea). Our school food is awesome. Oh, every Tuesday and Thursday, we have Little Caesars as our food concessionaires. Their cheese pizza and crazy bread are to die for. A little steep at PhP25.00 but you'll forget about regret once you start eating.
I finally managed to fill up my UPCAT form. I really do wish to get into UP Diliman. I've even told Sir Rai, "Sir, it's UP or nothing for me." I didn't mean it at that time but now I do. Here are the campuses and courses I chose:
UP Diliman:
BA Political Science
BA Psychology
UP Los Baños:
BA Communication Arts
BA Sociology
If you're wondering why I didn't choose UP Manila, the reason is the offered courses there did/do not interest me. I've never considered a profession in Medicine or anything of the like. Plus, it has a higher UPG cut off as opposed to Diliman. So if I don't make in Diliman, what then would my chances be in Manila? Oh well.
P.S. -
Macy, we have a new teacher who was your batchmate in AA, Ms. Pinoy. (: Wala lang. I just remembered you when she mentioned she's from Batch 2000. Oh and Ms. Gaye Samson left already.
