You'd think I'd be tired...

Apr 10, 2005 00:54

ya know, it's 12:54, Sunday "morning" upon writing this. You'd think I'd be tired... Actually, yes, I am.

Here's the day in as much order as possible.

Woke up and played Splinter Cell for a while followed by Halo 2. I didn't realize it was 50 minutes to 12 (noon), so I quickly sink-washed a white T and dried it; however, I found a wrinkled but clean one in my hamper (aka, really large pile of clothes cleaned last week that I refuse to put away until after I wake up)

Showed up a little late to practice, and no, it wasn't my fault. I was actually ready "early". Practice was horrible... way too stressful. Looking on the bright side tho, things were A LOT cleaner... most of it, anyway.

I got even more frustrated after practice. Got my T from my bad and went to rinse off the sweat, and just I was walking by, someone spilled juice all over the floor. Hvidding asked me to pick it up. ehh I din want to, but I figured why not. Just as I'm walking away, she stops me and tells me how she's not allowed to let me walk around without shoes. So I continued walking to the chorus room when all of a sudden I'm stopped by... well, whoever it was. Go figure... the girls started to change. I was waiting for a bit until someone same to the door (Steph) and asked what I wanted -- the shoes, then waited even more until she got them. Just as I was about to take them from her hands, she drops them on the floor. So f*ing rude. So I put them on and walked back to the bathroom to get some paper towel. Just as I'm walking to the cafeteria, Kristin stops me and asks if I can get our lunch -- Mom was parked outside and waiting. I had to fold u pmy paper towels, walk outside, get our food, walk back blah blah wait some more by the shorus room door to give her the food. Amber comes, takes it, and I said "Tell Kristin my stuff is in there, too." I finally got to clean up some of the mess, and just as I threw it out, Kristin comes walking down the ramp to give me my food and drink. I'm all "WTF, man?!!!!", especially since I had juice crap all over my hands. So I go BACK to the chorus room, waited SOME MORE just to get in and throw the food into my bag.
I decided "fuck it" and didn't go back to the juice. Instead, I was getting ready to eat. Not even a second after sitting down, Hvidding turns on "Mother Nazi" and starts going frantic. She starts telling me to put on my makeup and blah blah blah, then starts yelling at me to take my shoes off and get in my jumper. The messed up part: there were other people unprepared for the photo, but they didn't get bitched at. So we take our pictures, and immediately after Mother Nazi goes crazy some more and barks at us to get on the bus. Mind you, I have to get my stuff together, throw out my garbage, AND get the face paint stuff off my finger. Once I got on the bus, I unwound my nerves... until someone screamed in the back and Mother Nazi told everyone to shut up. After about 5 times or so, she realized how pointless it was shouting back at them and stopped all together.

I woke up and had a good 20 minutes to myself. And in that time it came back to me: I really am an outsider in guard. So depressing...

We got to the school and found out that our classroom is really a space in the hallway about 10 feet long, and that's probably an over-estimation. We went outside for a bit to warm up... finally! AIR! Went back in, cleared some space for the two schools around us, then went us for pre-competition. Outside of forgetting my mouthpiece for the tuba, everything went well.

We waited at the side door for what seemed like hours... or just 10 minutes. I started dancing for Mallory lol omfg Squirrel did "human touch" right in front of me and Mallory; I swear she looked like she was gonna shit her pants rotf It was so great! Anyway, we finally got on the mat and I spotted my mom, older sister, and grandma -- apparently my aunt and uncle were behind them, but I had no idea. Anyway, I think I moved a little late after Rachels' three finger snaps -- it's so hard to hear it unless you really center your focus on it. Anyway, I felt the show went well (at least my part). I got a little upset after the tuba mabobber, though. The three people behind the backdrop with me were so focused on moving the flags that I had no one to give the tuba to let alone room to put it down. So I made the animal run a little late. Fortunately, though, I got back into picture shortly after. Show ended, and we all wound up folding the mat outside in the dirt. Meanwhile, Amy was having an asthma attack.

We went inside and all the girls went up to the landing to get dressed, so I went off to the Men's Faculty
rest room and rinsed off again. OMFG usually urinals have little walls to prevent "onlookers", but these had none and looked like toilet bowls. Jeez! Talk about lack of privacy! Anyway, washed off and saw Amy sitting down and getting frustrated at Mother Nazi (heheh, that's my new codename); she was still having troubles breathing. Thank God for Mikey B. He came to her rescue and found her inhaler. (btw, last time I talked to Amy, she said she was fine) Everyone finally regrouped, and we all headed off for the auditorium. We saw the middle school group who does the handjive song; we went to the cafe afterwards. Remember when I said I felt like an outsider in guard? Yeah, it couldn't have been any more obvious. One group was completely fascinated by Sami's dancing (Sammy?), another group at a different table, and the third group I don't even talk to, so... yeah. Thank you Mallory for the no-blink contest, though, haha.
Just as I started to say my good-byes and leave, though, my jaw dropped. I waved 'bye' to Caroline, and for the first time EVER I got a real response from Krista outside of the usual. Now, I'm sure all of you are saying "so what?" but to me, she's one of those people I just don't understand; she didn't even say much when her dad picked us up on Thursday -- when she did speak, it was to her dad anyway lol Whatever... so... yeah, she actually responded by waving back (ironically, not a single word was said)

After a while of being bored out of my mind, Kristin called Mom to pick us up. We finally got to Aunt Patsy's and low-and-behold, there's ol' cousin Shamus -- he's my father's cousin whom I haven't seen in years. She got skinny but less muscular and is balding. My mouth dropped. Ate pizza, played a little [blurry] Halo 1 (what can I say? it was on a projection TV!), and left.

There were nice convos goin on in the car. That person I was talking about in my last entry (you know, the one Mike accidently thought I liked)... yeah, I found out some stuff about her. I actually feel sorry with her predicament. Not because of the fact she's having "boy troubles" but because I went through something similar, or so I feel I did. I decided I'm gonna back off and not even bother getting to know her as I wanted to before. I'm sure all this "trying to gather an idea" stuff might be sending the wrong message and what have not. ::shrugs::

Got home and put on jacket and scarf on. Why? 'Cause it was off to meet up with the guard back at the school. I wanted to find my mouthpiece and get my water bottle back. I was supposed to get Kristin's contacts case, but before I left she found them. So yeah, got a few hugs in between, found my mouthpiece on top of the folder cubby, put my stuff back in the tuba case, and left. Made it onto Huckleberry when Krista's dad pulls over and offers me a ride. I didn't really want to at first, but it was chilly and there wasn't any harm in a simple offer, so I took it. One little note: it was just me talking, Mr. D. laughing, and guess who without a word to say? Yeah... well, I got dropped off, came home, helped mom with her puzzle, drank some water, and started typing this entry.

Now it's an hour later and my ice pack has almost melted. Yeah, my muscle still hurts. For those of you who are lost right now, well, on Thursday, I pulled a groin muscle (pretty much the muscle on the inside of the leg by the man organ and where the leg bends) and had an ice pack on for the rest of the night. I didn't feel a thing Friday, so I figured it was nothing, but now it's back! =( meh As long as it's on ice, it's ok.

wow, 1:49. Zz Zz Zz
