First entry.. as well as UlquiHime rant
Alright! After years of not having one of these I decided to make one... just to whine and complain like 85% of the other users do on theirs. And I'm going to start off with my absolute hatred for UlquiorraxOrihime. Now, I'll be posting a separate rant on Bleach Romance in general, but for now... this abomination.
Now, I know this is a fictional series and whining about what a character would do to another is silly. But after shuffling through thousands of bad fanfiction just to find something with nothing but platonic relations can grate on one's sanity.
UlquiHime is the stupidest pairing in all of Bleach. And the fact that so many people take it as 'true love' is even stupider. What the actual fuck people? I mean, come one, Ulquiorra shows no signs of love/lust to Orihime at any point! And him reaching out to her with a smile doesn't mean a god jam thing. Hell, look at the Kingdom Hearts games. In KH2 and 358/2, the story centers around these beings called Nobodies, who cannot feel emotion. Though they emulate it, they can't feel it.. save for like 3. And on that note, I'm gonna bitch about that too. But back to the point!
They can't feel, but throughout the game, they are seen smiling and even acting buddy buddy with one another. But its empty, and means nothing. Same with Ulquiorra. His fricken aspect of death is Nihilism. Emptiness. No morals, feelings, nothing.
So tell me, how the fuck can he love Orihime?
So what if he reached out to her? That's enough proof that he's the perfect guy for her? I call bullshit.
Not only can he not even begin to like her, he's seen throughout the series as pretty much treating her like a post man treats his cargo. Once it's dropped off and done with, he forgets all about it.
Now, on to Orihime.
I am not a believer in romance within a series, but I'd be a fucking moron to say she doesn't love Ichigo. Even if she didn't admit it twice, it's damn obvious. I mean, just how many times can one say "Kurosaki-kun" in one episode. If anyone, she should be paired with Ichigo and only Ichigo. Hell, maybe even Ishida.
And during her stay at Los Noches, her little interacctions with Ulquiorra are not of love. She's naturally nice and bubbly to everyone. Even Loly and Menoly, who beat the crap out of her- she healed. And if any other Espada was her care taker, she'd treat them the same as she did Ulquiorra.
Now, does anyone remember the episode when Orihime healed Muramasa? No? It was in the 200's during a filler arc. Muramasa is feeling down, and Hime-chan heals him. If you see the episode, you'll see the scene. Now, someone please tell me jsut why that didn't spawn an ass load of crappy romance fan art or something. Hell, after I first saw it I expected people to make AMVs out of that 50 seconds.
