Tularemia

We had a cat come in last Wednesday not feeling well. 1.5 year old intact male, no vaccines ever, indoor/outdoor, had been in multiple fights with other animals. It ended up dying that evening, so we had it tested at the diagnostic lab in our area for rabies (due to no vaccine/fighting with other unknown animals) and also the owner wanted a full necropsy to find out why it had died if it wasn't rabies.
It turns out the cat had tularemia. So now my boss told me to call my clinic because humans can be infected, and they want me to come in and get started on antibiotics. I had limited contact with the cat (touched when I took it's temp, held with gloves when we cleaned it's fight abscess). I'm not really familiar with tularemia, does anyone have any insight?
