Anesthetic protocols

Hi there, is anyone around this comm anymore?
Anyway, our doctor is planning on changing our anesthetic protocols, and asked me if I have heard of anything around the vet tech world that seems to work well. Currently we use either Telazol or Propofol, (and very occasionally dexdomitor) depending on the patient and procedure. We don't use any preanesthetic drugs at this time (that is one of the main things we are looking at changing). We maintain on Isoflo. We usually do a Rimadyl injection at the start of procedures plus oral Rimadyl to go home (barring any contraindications to using Rimadyl), and sometimes add tramadol or buprenorphine afterwards depending on the procedure and/or patient's pain level. We are a small clinic, so the majority of our procedures are the routine ones like spay/neuter, dentals, declaws, and mass removals with an occasional orthopedic or other miscellaneous surgery thrown in there.
We are going to discontinue using Telazol due to the price increase, and have been having issues with patients going down/staying down on just propofol (probably due to inadequate pain control).
So... what are your anesthetic protocols at your practices?
