Some of this...Some of that

Honestly I don't know if anyone is seeing these recent posts on here.  But I'll keep posting just in case, and if all goes well I'll remember to try an put the link to each one on my Twitter or X as it's now known account.  It was supposed to do that automatically but something is messed up and it won't.  No problem to do it myself as long as I remember.

Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be at an Arts and Craft Fair at Ridgeline High School in Liberty Lake WA.  I've got a booth there and will be selling books along with a couple of other folks from Spokane Authors.  Since we've had snow now, the drive out in the mornings might be interesting.  However as we get into the week it's supposed to warm up.  As usual, the weather has it backwards.  It seems it snows and then gets warm.  To me, it should snow and then get colder.  If it's snowy out, it is a lot nicer when it's cold, at least it is to me.  When it warms up and starts melting, then everything gets wet and sloppy.  I'd much rather it be 20 degrees F and snowing than to be 35 degrees F and raining.

You may recall that earlier this year I republished my first two books, Beyond the Ocean's Edge and Sailing Dangerous Waters so they'd be a closer match to the third, Darnahsian Pirates.  One of the neat things about doing that is that I was able to reduce the price for paperback copies sold on line by quite a bit.  The original two were originally $19.95 each with the way I'd first published them and I wasn't getting all that much as far as royalties go.  Going a different publishing route with number three and the newer editions of the first two, I was able to drop the price to #13.95 each and I get more in royalties.  Unfortunately I find that I will need to raise the price slightly for all three, probably to $17.95, and I'll probably do that after the beginning of the year.  Why?  I want to put them into Expanded Distribution wihich makes it easier for stores and other retailers to  carry them if interested.  The split between me and the company reverses for Expanded Distribution, and at the current price I would not have enough to cover the printing cost of each copy, let alone earn any sort of royalty.  So if you want a copy or copies via the large merchandising company named for a large river, you might want to get them now... as in this month.  I don't believe the switch does anything to what I pay for author copies, which is basically the cost of printing and I'll continue to sell at the prices I currently sell at... such as at Ridgeline this week end.  That's $12 each, two for $22 or all three for $30.

About time to call it a day and get some sleep so I can get up and going in the morning.
