Okay hi guys

So instead of doing my homework last night I translated a little part of the end of DRRRx6 that was relevant to my interests (ie: OT3) and I am sharing.

I sort of wish that Narita wrote more about Anri other than the chatroom thing, just wondering how "lonesome" she is after the whole kidnapping incident by the fake-Dollars.

I'd expect more out of Maosaomi, but I can understand why he doesn't confront Mikado at this critical moment in the story... before Mikado changes for the worse. Fear, as useful as it is in some circumstances, can be utterly debilitating.

As for Mikado, considering the direction the novel is going after vol. 8, he needs his two friends as much as they need him. One can go only so with the kind of mutual allies he has.

I read in another translation somewhere that Masaomi's fatal flaw is that he doesn't handle shame very well. He's still guilty about the Yellow Scarves fiasco and now that Mikado reminds him of his past, Masaomi's probably feeling even more guilt now.
I also want to hear more about Anri! We haven't see her as much lately as some of the other characters.

I think she was shown enough for one volume though, as much as I like her as a character. Can't hog all the lime light from the other characters.

On different topic, have you read volume 7 yet? I've read somewhere that it's mainly about the live rivalry between Namie and Mika but have not found a good summary for it yet? It'd be nice to have one though.

Now that I think about it, we have seen quite a bit of her in volume 6. ^^; I've been reading bits and pieces from all over the timeline!

I haven't seen a full translation of volume 7, but the summary I found said that it's a bunch of vignettes about Izaya in the hospital. Basically, what Ikebukuro is doing without our favorite information broker. anni-fiesta has snippets of it (and I think there is a bit about Namie vs Mika (: )!

Ha, if I had to guess maybe the city is a bit more peaceful with Izaya stuck in the hospital.

Masaomi seems to have a problem with confrontations and stuff, so honestly I'm not surprised that he didn't step forward then.

And for your question on book 7, I'm reading through it now and it the first chapter is focusing more on Namie and Mika. I'm not sure about the rest of it, though!

Yeah, flipping through the rest seems to show that there are chapters dedicated to Anri&Akabayashi, Shizuo, then Celty&Shinra. So it's not all Namie and Mika :o

Now... this might be a bit too much to ask of you but can you translate some stuff on Akabayashi/Anri?

Though a summary on their relationship, other than that the Yakuza guy was/is her guardian ever since that incident with Shingen induced Saika happened, would also suffice. :)
