What's in a name?

I was just thinking...what's in a name?  What does it show about you?  However, some names have deeper meanings.  Their origins, means, and even numerology apparently tells something about your personality and sometimes heritage.  For instance, my name Vesper.  It isn't a common name at all...thinking about it, people always seem interested in my name, not knowing its origins and just thinking it's unique because the word cannot exist.  Actually, you can type it into any spell checker or look it up in any dictionary and see that it exists.

Vesper means 'evening' and it is a Latin based name.  My name reflects the hour I was born, I suppose my parents wanted to remember it.  In Greek (Hesperus) and Roman (Vesper), Vesper is the personification of the evening star, but oddly, it is the name of a male mythological figure...but when given to a human it is a female name.

There is a martini named a 'Vesper', but in honesty, that was an invention of James...and I think he was trying to be suave and charming.  He probably named it after me just to win me over, a clever move, but I wonder if the name stuck.  (For those of you interested the ingredients are: 3 parts gin, one part vodka, 1/2 Kina Lillet...shaken over ice until chilled and poured into a deep champagne goblet -without the ice of course.  It's garnished with a lemon peel).

Numerological terms...my name as a whole is a 5, which is for an action-related person and they tend to be restless.  Fives are multi-talented and adaptable.  They know how to get what they want and are clever, analytical and quick thinkers.  They tend to be adventurous, seek knowledge and like to travel.

According to someone else, my name also has a 'vowel vibration' of 8, which is for powerful, authority and ambition.  The perfect sort for an accountant.  They tend to have authoritative personalities and be successful.

Strangely, I find this rather fascinating.

((OOC note: I found Vesper's numerology on a website - here - and thought it was interesting...and I did check over the numbers, since I know some numerology myself.))
