Booster Gold, Destroyer of Worlds
So Helen and I have been watching Dr. Who (V2 S1) and we just watched the first Dalek ep. I spent most of the ep trying to hide my giggles, because Helen kept going on about how scared everyone was of the Daleks when they first appeared.
The British, apparently, are wimps.
He's a cute little existential tin can, yes he is! Don't cry emo robot. Daleks just need hugs.
We followed that ep up with an argument about time travel that reminded me of Booster Gold's current time traveling antics. So I was thinking about Booster and Daleks, and came to a realization.
The Dalek, the super-impressive terrifying ultimate soldier that can destroy worlds - what can it do? What fearsome powers does it have?
1) Force field
2) Flight
3) Blaster
Booster Gold, the joke of the superhero world, the man chosen to save time specifically because he's such a screwup that nobody would ever expect him to succeed - what are his powers?
1) Force field
2) Flight
3) Blaster
No wonder I'm not scared of the damn thing.
OK ok so the Dalek can also download the entire internet. Through a computer monitor. sigh But Booster has Skeets. Skeets > toilet plunger.
And I gotta say, my opinion of the Time Lords has gone down a little. Any race that can be wiped out by Booster Gold doesn't deserve to lord over my clothes hamper.
