Today was the bomb. I don't know how I did it, but I woke up at 7. I slept for like 10 minutes while the alarm was going off because it is all the way on the other side of the room. That's how tired I was. Alex and Bellow's phone calls are what really woke me up. So I packed up the car and headed up alone. Met the manboys in the parking lot and then went on a crazy goose chase to get our park passes. We parked at Vernon by the way, since it is open now. The park on Vernon is where they have the bigger features, so they require each boarder to purchase a 5 dollar park pass. In theory, this is supposed to keep the inexperienced boarders out of the park, but it doesn't always work. Anyway, I will now explain what features they had open today. There was a double line from the top, something that has never been done before. On the left was a flat handrail and on the right was a downbox. This was not a legitimate downbox, because that one is over on South, but it was a flat box installed on a downward section of the trail. This feature was a fun one. Then on Kyber there was nothing. We found that out after going down it first run. On Indian was a big old jump that let you get some sweet hangtime. That jump was the bomb. Then they had the machine gun rail and a mini machine gun rail set up side by side before the jump. I do not like either of these rails so I skipped them to hit the jump. Where the 40 foot handrail used to be was the flat down box. I think it was a pretty ideal location for such a feature to be placed. Then we had the new battleship and another flat handrail side by side before sugar. The new battleship was kind of disappointing. I was expecting it to be really sweet, but its too many stupid. It's basically just a not smooth rainbow. The drop off the top is like 6 feet to flat. I experienced this drop a few times. So that was the park, boys. Now the crew. It was me, Bellow, Alex, Keith, AJ, Libby, Katey, Kendall, Pete and some more of their friends that I was not formally introduced to. Academy Sean made a short appearance for a run or two until he was forced to ride with his girlfriend. It was really warm today and surprisingly, it was empty. I was warned that it was going to be a shit show, but it was quite the opposite. When we got tired of the park on Vernon we went to South. I like South and the jumps there seem so tiny compared to the Indian jump. We rode South for a few hours I guess. There was some fun little slasheroos and rock bonks and stuff like that on the main trail. Alex did a rocket air on the first jump but I didn't get to see it. Rocket airs rule.
Oh, theres a picture of me on the picture of the day. This picture was actually taken Thursday.
Sweet, right?
