It's been quite some time since I've been to these shores. It's a nostalgic experience to say the least. The ship voyage was uneventful. I rather enjoy travelling by sea. I find the rocking of the ship to be very soothing.
Predictably, Mother and Father rejected the idea of coming along with me though their reasons are understandable this time. They're reluctant to leave our guests. It's their loss. I'm curious what sorts of pleasures Nyper has to offer now.
I thought we had concluded the marriage argument decades ago but it seems that neither Mother or Father have given up on me finding a bride at all. They've been biding time until the right opportunity to pressure me about it came along. They're using my love for my country and my king against me - it's a dirty trick putting it in terms of strengthening an alliance with Risath.
I suppose I'll do as they've requested and charm any daughters of the mage nobility I happen to stumble across. Perhaps if I can gain an informant or two out of the endeavor this won't have been a complete waste of my time.
