Mebi Gaiden vol 2 had the pacing vol 1 should have had. Personally, I feel they shouldn't have been split up like that, as now vol 1 feels like a chore to watch in comparison to 2. It's necessary exposition I suppose but does it really deserve a DVD all on its own? Guess it comes down to money making. PROFIT!
Real thoughts on the episode itself when I return home from the inevitably traumatic first day of school. The last 4 - 5 minutes totally made it for me, though, but of course I'm more of a fan of the characters and not the aliens. (That said, I do have a lot of questions on the lovely Ultrans - but must save that for later!)
