Hello Vertizens!

Your lovely mods here with another update. First, we'd like to encourage everyone to take a quick peek at our FAQ, as we've made a few changes based on questions some of you have had. As always, we are happy to answer your questions, so feel free to snag either of us on AIM (baekhesten for Boots or RamiahStar for Mari) or send us an email (vertilinemods@gmail.com) and we'll answer quick as we can.

Second, you asked and we provided! We have added some additional information to our maps, including a scale on the world map! Please keep in mind that it is only a rough scale (and based on what Boots knows about the average human's walking speed), but it should serve your needs!

Thirdly, we must apologize. We mods completely neglected to give you players a key piece of information regarding punishments for murder. We have added this information to the FAQ, but would also like to inform you here: If your character should kill another, he or she is immediately teleported to a prison island. There are two possible islands your character may end up on. One is a desert (and is hot, dry, and sandy, as you might expect) and the other is a large iceberg (which is cold, very windy, and quite cold.). As there is no teleport crystal on either of these islands, characters remain trapped there for 72 hours, at which time they are teleported back to their artichoke pods. Other than this, communicators work as normal. Additionally, while on these islands, characters will find themselves besieged by small pests: small, sandy colored mice on the desert island, and small, white mice on the iceberg. While these are not really a threat to life or limb, they are exceptionally annoying and will make it even more difficult for your character to find any sort of rest. Also, the same energy drain inflicted when your character injures another also applies for the duration of their prison-island stay.

Because we completely forgot to put this in the faq, we are not going to inflict this on any characters who have recently killed others. You can chalk this up to a glitch in the system (or a scatterbrained mod, as you prefer.). From now on, however, all characters who kill another are subject to this punishment. We apologize again for the oversight.

Finally, we'll be running a small event this weekend for you all to enjoy. There will be a post with all the necessary information tomorrow morning, so watch this space!
