Summary
Since the last time I have posted, not that you particularly care, I have done the following (not in any particular order):
- Slept in places other than my own home for almost one week in a row.
- Went without sleep for thirty-one hours.
- I have taken seven pills of ecstasy. Not all at once, but within five days.
- I have smoked Marijuana.
- I have gotten insanely drunk. Only once, seeing as alcohol isn't my favorite high anymore.
- Slept with a woman.
- Almost slept with a man.
- I think I am now in a relationship with that said man.
- I have been going to the beach religiously. Laguna and Blacks, in particular.
- Thusly, I am the darkest I've been since I was younger and living in Italy.
- I have gone about twenty-three hours without anything vaguely classifiable as food entering my mouth up until an hour ago.
- I still have not purchased my Syrian coworker's vehicle. She seems to always be on vacation.
- I have, however, purchased a little over four-hundred dollars in pots, pans, plates, glasses, wineglasses and silverware.
- I have, as of recently, the God-given right of a fifty-percent discount from the American Apparel store in Hillcrest. (a.k.a., connections).
- I went to the gay pride event with a friend of mine. Just for amusement. We ended up walking all over Balboa Park, Hillcrest and North Park. A total of about fifteen miles.
- I have eaten at a high-end restaurant as an invitation from client of mine. The four-hundred and twelve dollar check for the four of us was taken care of by her. Bliss.
- I hiked on the way up and ran/sprinted on the way down Cowell's Mountain. I felt very accomplished. I was, however, covered in sweat and dirt. And I smelled kind of funky.
- I dreamed of him again the other night, and I miss him a lot.
- I have, however, been the happiest I've been in a very, very long time.
- I have learned some basic Farsi phrases, some random Japanese ones and have been building a stronger knowledge of Portuguese. I can now joke and express myself in that language. I love it.
- I just had the most awesome time with my niece and my older sister. I haven't seen them in a while, and it's nice to know they're doing well and to reaffirm how much they mean to me and how much I care for them.
- I think I've changed, wouldn't you agree?
- Also, I've eaten four coconuts in the shell, after violently drinking their yummy juice. Summer has officially blessed me :]
- While lightly buzzed at a friend's dinner party in Mission Beach, I placed one of my favorite pair of shoes dangerously near a fire. When I went to get them back, the adhesives/nails attaching the sole to the upper have been effectively removed off of the first three or four inches of the tip of the right shoe. Now, I have a chunk of sole obnoxiously dragging around. It is very fixable, I'm just lazy.
Now, please; Do Not assume that I am addicted to any of the aforementioned substances or that I am an alcoholic. I do not need them to be happy. I just enjoy, with seldom usage, the feeling of weightless bliss they bring upon the body and mind. Everyone knows I've been needing a lot of that as of late.
Now, if you don't mind, tell me about how you have all been doing. Don't be brief, I could use some honesty and lengthy literature.
