She was completely insane last night, but I guess that's s3 Veronica for you.
She's so horribly insecure when it comes to her and Logan that it's terribly sad. She focuses on his wrongs and tries to make them right rather than focusing on herself.
It's sad to watch.
As for her risking Weevil, it was a bit off, and I'd like to think out of character for V, but from what I've seen of her this season, I'm not so sure.
I'm not saying the things Logan does she be forgotten, I'm just saying she over-reacted w/ Madison--big time.
Madison is not the cause of her rape and she shouldn't expect Logan to know that the drink Madison gave her was drugged. Hell, Madison didn't even know.
I think Veronica was so heartbroken in the episode she wasn't thinking clearly. She might not have been moping like Logan, but she was doing some crazy stuff which was her way of dealing (or not, as the case may be). I also think Weevil could have said no, and he didn't, so it's his responsibility.
She's just trying to get on her feet after something painful. I wish people would just leave her alone. (I don't mean the OP, just people in fandom generally.)
I understand how she feels and I'm not saying that it was wrong of her to act out, however I think that Veronica's "moral compass" wasn't on-target with her character. That was more vindictive toward Weevil than Madison or Logan if he had gotten caught, especially since Weevil's got a soft spot for V. I suppose my V expectations rival hers for Logan.
Personally, I just don't get why she felt the need to take out her anger on Madison at all, instead of Logan. Sure, she dislikes Madison, and sure, Madison slept with Logan, but what does Madison owe Veronica? Absolutely nothing. What reason did Veronica ever have to think that Madison would consider her feelings, or avoid hurting her? Madison doesn't even like her, nor does she owe her anything. Logan, on the other hand, was the one who was supposedly in love with her. He was the one she wanted to continue to have a relationship with, and he is the one she now can't trust. So why is she trying to crush Madison's car? Because Madison opened her legs, and her temporary ex walked right into them?
I see what you're saying, but I think the points to remember are:
1. Veronica did have second thoughts and decided not to go through with it. That was one of the nicest bits of the episode, I thought.
2. Weevil "knows people" -- he could've easily had someone do the actual job rather than steal the car himself, minimizing (though not eliminating) the risk of imprisonment. Maybe that's why he was like, no way. It's not as if Veronica tempted him with money; in fact, she seemed surprised that he wanted that much money.
Does anyone else think it's possible that Weevil never really expected to go through with it?
His comments show he knows something is off with Veronica, and this is having to do with her & Logan. Might he have been, in essence, humoring her?
I'm not saying that if they did end up compacting the car he would be heart broken, but that he was expecting her to have second thoughts about it. That might be one reason he came off as very willing to go along with the idea.
Oh. Good point. I was mostly thrown because the writers were asking us to believe Veronica had never heard of RU-486. I mean, really.
I've really let go of a lot of my expectations for this show, to be honest. I'll keep watching it for the snappy dialog and awesome facial expressions from Veronica, Keith, and Mac. But yeah, she's starting to not make much sense as a person.
