Surreal to work here sometimes
Working here is usually a normal office job. But this week has highlighted some of the weirder parts.
--Barack Obama came to talk with us yesterday.
--Over the weekend a movie must have been shooting a scene set during New Years, because Monday the street was covered with an inch of confetti.
--Last night after work they were setting up speakers and chairs for an opera simulcast.
--While I was walking to Burger King yesterday, a dozen police cars roared by and blocked 42nd street (maybe because of the general assembly?)
--Our cafeteria reopened today... now we have a pool table.
Unrelated: I'm getting a poker night tonight in the next couple of weeks... anyone interested?
