Wall Street panic
The subway I take to work lets out in front of the Lehman Brothers Building. This morning a mob of somber looking people was blocking the sidewalk and the building was locked down. My office is two blocks away, and I can see about a dozen news trucks parked on the street. Bad news.
Edit: Also, apparently Chris Cox, the chairman of the SEC, is a moron. There's an insane story on This American Life about how he sat on his hands and refused to do anything to regulate Wall Street even though that is his job. Thanks again, W! http://www.thislife.org/
